Upgraded playground welcomes Wonky to Winnall!

The Mayor of Winchester, Councillor Frank Pearson will officially open a newly upgraded play area in Winnall Manor Road on 17 November at 10:00.

At the opening, families will be offered free refreshments and activities including ‘Wonky’ cupcakes, colouring and goody bags provided by the play area company, Wicksteed Leisure.

There will also be the chance to take part in some fun sporting activities courtesy of the council’s sport and physical activity team.

The ‘Castle and Knight’ themed play area, which cost £120,000, provides a fantastic play facility for the children of Winnall.  It is part of the Wonky trail  -  a series of routes taking children to play areas across the district to find the council’s feathered friend Wonky the Woodpecker and his gang.
