Sheltered housing tenants celebrate Christmas with a festive get together
More than 100 sheltered housing tenants got together to celebrate Christmas at the Holiday Inn, Winchester.
The tenants were provided with a three-course meal and entertainment, including carols by Winnall Primary School Choir and festive tunes from Winchester UKE Jam. They were also treated to a Christmas-themed quiz and a raffle.
This festive gathering was organised by Winchester City Council supported by Osborne Construction.
Residents, who came from across the city, thanked the council for organising the “wonderful party” and said they enjoyed the chance to socialise with other tenants.
Council Leader and Portfolio Holder for Housing, Cllr Caroline Horrill said:
“It was an absolute pleasure to be able to provide some festive cheer for our tenants and to be able to wish them a very merry Christmas.”
