Tree management work to start at Kings Barton
Work to remove trees on Andover Road at the southern end of Kings Barton is set to commence in early February. The authorised work, which was approved as part of planning process, is necessary to create access into the Phase 1a area and must take place before the bird nesting season begins.
The work will be carried out by CALA’s contractors and will commence on 6 February 2017. To allow the works to take place safely, temporary traffic signals will be put in place for two weeks. The work is expected to be completed in less than two weeks but this time-scale has been planned to mitigate against any bad weather conditions.
Rob Westwood, Technical Director at CALA Homes said:
Every effort will be made to minimise disruption to residents, pedestrians, and road users whilst the work is taking place.
Cllr Vicki Weston, Portfolio holder for Built Environment said:
It is very important to get this work done before the bird nesting season and is reassuring that CALA homes will make every effort to ensure that the works are completed as expediently as possible, to reduce any inconvenience to road users.
