Small grants for Winchester town area

Press Release: 05/10/2016

Winnall Rock School

The Winchester Town Forum is looking to award small grants to organisations that provide activities within the town area of Winchester.

The grants of up to £500 aid organisations with one-off funding for pieces of equipment or specific activities which benefit residents in the five unparished areas of the town.

Cllr Jamie Scott, the Chair of the Town Forum Grants Panel, said:

It is with great pleasure that we are able to offer small grant funding again this year. The grants have proven valuable and we have previously funded a wide variety of activities. We are now inviting applicants to come forward to benefit from our grant funding.

Melissa Fletcher, Funding & Development Officer for Winchester City Council, said:

The small grants are an essential source of funding for groups who just need a little bit of money for an activity or piece of equipment. We have a very healthy demand for this type of funding. We try to support as many organisations and activities as possible.

Deadline for applications is noon on Thursday 3 November. Visit
