City Council appoints new Corporate Director

Joseph Holmes has been appointed as Corporate Director (Professional Services) for Winchester City Council. He is due to start in late July 2016.
The new role is a key part of the Council’s Corporate Management Team and will be the professional lead for a range of corporate services including finance, HR, IT, revenues and benefits and customer services.
Mr Holmes is Assistant Director at Slough Borough Council, including the role of chief finance officer, and has previously worked at West Berkshire Council and the Audit Commission.
His professional background is in finance and he brings with him a broad range of experience.

The appointment follows a rigorous selection process including a five-member interview panel.
