Businesses invited to attend budget briefing breakfast
Press Release: 17/11/2014
Winchester City Council is inviting local businesses to attend a budget briefing meeting on Thursday 4 December in Guildhall Winchester to help shape the Council’s future plans.
Delegates will benefit from networking with businesses from across the Winchester District and meet officers and elected Members from the Council.
Presentations will include an update on the budget position, news about some of the major projects in communities, and an overview of the economic initiatives in place.
Cllr Robert Humby, Leader of Winchester City Council, said:
One of the Council’s key priorities is promoting economic prosperity and supporting local businesses. We value businesses’ opinions and encourage them to have their say in shaping Council policy and practice. Businesses can find out how their money has been spent for the benefit of the local economy and have a chance to share their ideas towards our priorities for the future.
Representatives from large, national names have already confirmed their attendance, alongside small- and medium-sized businesses from across the Winchester District, including the market towns of Alresford, Bishop’s Waltham, Denmead and Wickham.
The event will take place in the Walton Suite at Guildhall Winchester with breakfast served from 7.30am for an 8am start. The presentations should end by 9.30am.
Spaces for the business breakfast are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Pre-booking is essential. Book your space by the 28 November via Eventbrite at http://tiny.cc/dadonx
