Skating

Access All Areas kicks off next week on Monday 28 July. The free summer events for 11-17-year-olds will run each day for three weeks in the summer holidays from 11am-3pm.

The finale, Whestival, will take place from 5pm – 9pm. Fareham and Winchester Community Safety Partnerships have joined up this year to provide activities across the two areas.

All 11-17-year-olds can register as long as they live or go to school in Fareham or Winchester. The partnerships have also joined up with First and Stagecoach to offer free bus travel to and from events. All people need to do is show a valid registration card, which they will receive when they register.

Young people can register online at www.saferfareham.co.uk or www.saferwinchester.co.uk or on the day at any of the events.

Chairman of the Fareham Community Safety Partnership, Councillor Trevor Cartwright, said:

These are a fun-filled three weeks and allow young people to enjoy themselves in a safe environment. I’d encourage as many young people as possible to take part in these free activities.

Winchester City Council's Portfolio Holder for Communities & Transport, Cllr Mike Southgate, said:

I’m really pleased that as a partnership we are able to provide young people with a chance to participate in new experiences that are fun, free and exciting.
