Step inside a giant snowglobe this Christmas

Press Release: 11/12/2014

Snowglobe

Have you ever imagined what it would be like to stand inside a Christmas scene complete with swirling snow? Well, now’s your chance.

On Friday 12 and Saturday 13 December there will be a giant snowglobe outside Guildhall, Winchester. Why not come along and join in the fun?

For just £10, up to six people can pose and take away a photographic memento in a Christmas-themed mount for that special family Christmas photo. Just turn up and buy your ticket from the tourist information centre located on the ground floor of the Guildhall.

Friday 12 December is also National Christmas Jumper Day in aid of Save the Children, so why not come dressed in your best Christmas jumpers for the photo? You can donate at the tourist information centre until 5pm.

Sarah Harfield, Winchester Tourist Information Centre Team Leader, said:

Christmas in Winchester 2014 is shaping up to be the biggest yet. The district has so much going on. We thought the addition of a giant snowglobe would be a fun attraction for visitors and locals.

The tourist information centre is operating as the shop window of the ‘Perfect Christmas’ campaign this year with charity Christmas cards on sale, competitions for children to enter and even a postbox for your letter to Santa.
