Winchester night bus

Funding for Winchester’s night bus has been guaranteed up to September 2014.

The Winchester Town Forum funds the bus which operates on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.

The 5A service runs at 9:35pm, 10:35pm and 11:35pm. It starts at the bus station and follows the route of the Number 5 bus serving the railway station, Royal Hampshire County Hospital and Badger Farm before returning to the city centre via Stanmore.

The timetable can be found on the Winchester City Council, Hampshire County Council or Stagecoach Bus website.

Cllr Robert Hutchison, Winchester City Councillor and Chairman of the Winchester Town Forum, said:

The night bus is one of Winchester’s best-kept secrets and I am keen to raise awareness of the excellent service it offers. Winchester has a thriving night-time economy and the night bus can play an important part in its continued success.

All other public transport information for the Winchester District can be found on Hampshire County Council's website.
