New range of bespoke Winchester souvenirs coming soon to the Tourist Information Centre

Press Release: 01/05/2012

Winchester Tourist Information Centre is pleased to announce that it has been working with Sew Iconic, a local business, to bring their range of vibrant and unique souvenirs to an outlet in the city.

Sew Iconic is a small Winchester business run by local entrepreneurs, Andrea Brindle and Jennie Heath. After seeing a gap in the market for Winchester souvenirs of a contemporary and stylish design, the partners devised a range of exclusive Winchester-themed products including cushions, tea-towels, brightly coloured bags and baby and children’s wear.

Jennie and Andrea commented,

We offer carefully selected products to appeal to all ages. Whether you are a tourist, resident or have fond memories of Winchester, we hope you will enjoy using the products and be reminded of our beautiful and iconic city.

The new range of products will be unveiled at a launch event on Saturday 5 May at Winchester Tourist Information Centre. Sarah Harfield, TIC Team Leader commented,

The tourist information centre sells a range of souvenirs and we have been looking for new designs and products to modernise our offering. We are always looking for ways to reinvigorate the Visit Winchester brand and support local businesses and this offered us an opportunity to do both. The Sew Iconic range is fresh, contemporary and in keeping with products on offer in leading high street stores which our customers have asked for.

To see the range of products please pop in to the tourist information centre, located in the Guildhall, Broadway from Saturday onwards.
