Great tasting foodie days out on the menu
Press Release: 23/07/2012
Visitors and residents can now enjoy a day out with a foodie twist, thanks to a new Good Food leaflet which showcases what Hampshire has to offer when it comes to top attractions and dining experiences.
The leaflet, developed by Winchester City Council’s tourism team has just been launched to support Hampshire County Council’s Good Food campaign.
Featuring ideas for foodie days out at some of Hampshire’s top attractions, as well as suggestions on local pubs, restaurants and tea rooms to fuel your appetite for exploration, the Good Food leaflet is the essential guide to a foodie day out in Hampshire.
Take advantage of the special discounts on offer as part of this campaign for a low cost family day out – enjoy 2 for 1 on adult entry at Winchester City Mill (weekends only) before dining at the Holiday Inn’s Morn Hill Brasserie where you can get 10% off your food bill. Visit the ‘Special offers’ page on www.goodfoodhampshire.com to download the vouchers and for a full list of special offers.
Cllr Robert Humby, the Council’s Deputy Leader and Portfolio Holder for Strategic Planning & Economic Development, commented,
This campaign showcases the quality and diversity of our delicious local produce and serves to reinforce Hampshire’s status as a ‘must visit’ foodie destination. The local producers and businesses have worked together to achieve this status and the City Council is keen to support them by working on these types of initiatives.”
