2011/12 Active Community project grant scheme now open

Voluntary and community-run organisations in the Winchester District can apply for an Active Community project grant towards improvements, renovations or new build of community facilities.

Consideration can also be given to the purchase of major specialised equipment and for other community and voluntary sector projects that serve people living in the Winchester District.

Parish based organisations are also required to secure financial support from their Parish Council/Meeting.

The start date for projects should be after 1st April 2012. However, the Council has some funds which can be applied for by applicants with projects beginning in the current year (2011/12). If your project is due to start in the current year please contact the Administration Officer to discuss. Please read the criteria beforehand.

This grant scheme is for awards over £500. Applications for smaller amounts should be made to the Council's Small Grants Scheme, please visit www.winchester.gov.uk/smallgrants for more information.

The deadline for the return of completed application forms is 18 November 2011.
