Winchester area Rural Development Grants 2011/12 open for applications

The Fieldfare Local Action Group welcomes applications from Parish Councils and rural community groups seeking capital grants of no more than £10,000 for projects that will be completed by the 28 February 2012.

Projects can include the provision community services, village halls and community buildings, village approaches and improvements, community shops, open space, recreational facilities, community energy projects and community growing projects.

The Project team are based within the Economic Development team at Winchester City Council and provide support (see http://www.fieldfareleader.org.uk/support) throughout the application process.

Since April 2009, 64 projects have shared over £750,000 worth of grant funding.

The Parishes of Alresford (Youth Shelter), Easton (new kitchen for village hall), East Stratton (village hall energy project), Shedfield (restoration of a memorial), Otterbourne (village hall kitchen) and Owslebury (play equipment) have all benefited from LEADER grant support.
