Money for work, rest and play

More rural communities and businesses across East Hampshire and Winchester will benefit from a share of the £2,025,000 LEADER grant funding administered by the Fieldfare Local Action Group.

Owslebury Parish Council, Spinney Hollow woodlands projects and Hampshire Vegetable Gardens are the latest successful applicants to receive offers of support.

David Webb, acting Chair of the Local Action Group, congratulated the projects and said “These are positive examples of rural businesses and communities who want to make the most of the financial opportunities that this grant programme offers”.

The Local Action Group has supported 48 projects since April 2009 and funds are available until 2013.The group meets every six weeks to assess the grant applications made to them.

Small rural businesses, farmers, woodland owners and community projects located in the rural areas of East Hampshire District and Winchester City Council can apply for LEADER grants.
