South Winchester Park and Ride – travel survey
South Winchester Park and Ride – the city’s third site - opened in April 2010. Located just off junction 10 of the M3, the service provides over 800 parking spaces with frequent, low emission buses stopping at main destinations in Winchester for commuters, residents and visitors.
Provided through a partnership between Hampshire County Council and Winchester City Council, the service aims to reduce traffic travelling into the city centre, improve air quality and relieve congestion at peak times. These benefits help to improve conditions for walking and cycling and promote buses as practical alternatives to driving into the city centre.
Travel survey
Six months on, we want to find out how the service is being used and what effect it is having on traffic volumes and patterns, journey times and air quality.
Please complete our online questionnaire to tell us:
- How and why you use the service.
- How you used to travel to the city centre before this service opened.
- Your comments about the service.
Please complete the questionnaire by Friday 3 December 2010.
Travel survey results
We will publish an online summary of the responses in February 2011. You can add your email address to the online questionnaire if you want us to contact you when the results are available.
