Starting small but thinking big: Success for local baby skincare company
Luxury baby skincare company Coco Bébé has become the latest successful applicant for a Winchester City Council business start up grant. Coco Bébé, which is based online at www.cocobebe.co.uk , has been allocated the funding to help the business progress.
Having carefully developed the skincare products and launched the website, the company has received the first part of a £1,000 grant, and will be eligible to request the second installment after six months. The funding will help them market their range as well as launch new products.
Thea Planer, Director of Coco Bébé, said: “I am delighted to have received this start up grant; it will certainly aid the company’s success and growth into new product areas such as baby shampoo and travel products. I would like to thank Winchester City Council and Business Link for their support.”
The City Council has allocated funds for start up grants as part of its recession-busting activities for the whole district. It is keen to encourage entrepreneurship to sustain a healthy and diverse local economy during the current economic downturn.
Business Link’s Deborah Wyatt added: “We are delighted to be working with Winchester City Council to help local entrepreneurs. Our Business Link Advisers will help applicants with business plans and ensure that they have a viable enterprise to present to the Council for a start up grant.”
