Stanmore Community Action Plan Published

This week saw the publication of the Stanmore Community Plan. The Plan is the result of three years’ hard work by local residents, elected members, and officers from a number of statutory and community organisations.

It includes a set of proposals to address the wide range of issues identified during the consultation stage, including issues of particular concern to residents such as the impact of student accommodation and problems caused by parking.

The Plan will be implemented over the next five years by Stanmore Combined, in conjunction with the local residents associations and other organisations working in the area.

Reverend Mike Gardner, Vicar of St Luke’s and Chair of Stanmore Combined, said: "It is with great pride that I can say that I live in Stanmore and serve the local community, working with and alongside people from all sorts of backgrounds and with an amazing range of skills and insights to offer back into our community. I challenge everyone to take up the words of action in this Plan and turn them into real action with outcomes to be proud of."

The Stanmore Community Action Plan is the eighth such plan published by communities in Winchester District.
