Whiteley Local Office services extended as WACA gets involved
The Council's Local Office services in Whiteley have been extended to include services targeted at the voluntary and community sector.
In a bid to reach rural locations, Winchester Area Community Action (WACA) is working alongside Winchester City Council to promote their Development Support Service on a monthly basis at the Meadowside Leisure Centre in Whiteley. This service is specifically for voluntary and community groups, with a wide range of support available on issues such as funding, business planning, advertising, training opportunities, resources signposting, organisational and management issues.
Melissa Fletcher, WACA’s Development Support Officer, will be at the Whiteley Leisure Centre on the following dates between 10.00am - 3.00pm:
Wednesday 15 July
Wednesday 23 September
Wednesday 21 October
Drop in for an informal chat to find out how Melissa can help you and your group. For further details contact Melissa at mfletcher@waca.org.uk or 01962 848019, Tuesday – Thursday.
The involvement of WACA adds to the existing services provided by Winchester City Council and the Police, both of whom can be found at the Meadowside Leisure Centre every Wednesday between 10.00 - 12.30 and 1.30 - 4.00.
