The Winchester District shows minority matters in the first information day for BME communities
Public and voluntary services across the Winchester District are coming together at an event called Minority Matters. The event will provide lots of information in one place for black and minority ethnic people and those from Eastern Europe living or working in Winchester and the surrounding areas of Hampshire.
There will be people on hand from many organisations ready to provide information about benefits, health, education, housing, community safety, and community services. Polish, Bengali and Cantonese interpreters will be available on the day to make the information even more accessible.
Residents can drop into the event throughout the day between 1.00 – 7.00 pm on Wednesday 13th February 2008 at the Discovery Centre , Jewry Street, Winchester .
This event has been arranged by Winchester Area Community Action, Winchester Discovery Centre, Hampshire Fire & Rescue, Hampshire County Council. Hampshire Constabulary, Winchester City Council, A2 Housing Group, and Hampshire Partnership NHS Trust.
