Festive Fun at the City Museum

Press Release: 06/12/2005

Christmas Quiz at the City Museum

Test your powers of observation in two free fun children's quizzes for the Christmas season now at the City Museum, The Square, Winchester.

Take a break from the turkey and mince pies to spot robins perched high and low around the museum's displays, or have a go at our brand new Christmas Tree quiz and hunt for weird and wonderful objects from the past as you walk round the galleries of the museum.

"Why not escape the winter cold and the crowds of last minute shoppers for a warm welcome and a fun activity for all the family at the City Museum", said Sher Kent, Visitor Services Manager for the City Council's Museum Service.

Successful eagle-eyed robin spotters and history sleuths will each be rewarded with a small but tasty prize!

Admission: free - no booking required

The museum is open Tuesday to Saturday 10.00 - 4.00 pm, Sunday 12noon - 4.00 pm

The museum will be closed Saturday 24 December, Sunday 25, Monday 26 December and will reopen Tuesday 27 December 12noon-4.00pm.
