"Out of the Blue" at the view

The exhibition "Out of the Blue" at the view, Winchester, until 30 August is made mostly from objects found and collected on a local beach.

The exhibition is by Sarah Maccario, a mature student at Winchester School of Art studying BA (Hons) Fine Art Painting and about to start her final year.

"This work was inspired by my interest in foreign travel and fragments of memories," said Sarah. "Each object has a mystery about it and when combined in an assemblage, manipulated and/or painted, they take on a new identity whilst carrying something of their past within them."

the view at 4, Bridge Street, Winchester, is available for showing new work by artists or crafts makers from the Winchester district who are either studying or are in the early stages of their careers.
