Whiteley to host netball battle!
The hunt is on for local netball teams in the Whiteley area to take part in the first of many tournaments at the Meadowside Leisure Centre.The centre, run by Winchester City Council, is hosting the event for the first time on Saturday 16 July with trophies and medals up for grabs!
Lucie Nowak and Matt Richards, duty managers at the centre, are organising the tournament and are hoping to make it an annual event. There is a £20 entry fee.
"It would be great if the tournament took off and it would be even better if Whiteley could get a netball team out of it as well, as I feel there is a need for more teams in the area," said Lucie.
