LEADER funding

The Fieldfare Local Action group (LAG) has submitted a bid for LEADER funding. This covers all of Winchester and East Hampshire districts, minus the more urban areas of Winchester town, Alton, Whitehill-Bordon, Petersfield and Horndean. The bid document can be found below.
LEADER funding is being allocated to Local Action Groups by SEEDA, the South East England Development Agency as part of the RDPE. The Rural Development Programme for England (RDPE) is funded by Defra (the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs) and the EU. The European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD): Europe investing in rural areas.
A contract has yet to be agreed with SEEDA, but the Fieldfare LAG are confident this will happen before Christmas. If this is achieved, a programme manager will be employed, and projects can submit expressions of interest. The relevant information for the programme manager post can be downloaded below. The expression of interest forms and process can also be downloaded below. Please do complete these and send them to ecdev@winchester.gov.uk once complete.
A quick reference guide to LEADER funding in this area can also be viewed below. This includes information about the local and regional criteria any project needs to meet. If you want to find out more about the measures listed in the quick-reference guide, you can view Chapter 5 of the RDPE programme document.
If you live in the Winchester or East Hampshire area, and want to be involved with the LAG, do let us know.
