Affordable Housing - new schemes in the next year

Affordable housing schemes are being developed across the Winchester District by Winchester City Council and Housing Association's.

Below is a list of current schemes:

Chesil Lodge

  • The scheme will provide 52 flats with a mix of one and two bedroom accommodation. In addition, communal facilities will include a lounge area, laundry and sitting areas. A day care facility will be managed on site by Hampshire County Council.

Victoria House

  • The eighteen downsizer flats will be a mix of one and two bedroom accommodation at affordable rents.
  • A further nine, two bedroom shared ownership flats will be provided in a separate block.
  • Both rented and shared-ownership will be able to rent an underground parking space.

Hiller Way, Abbotts Barton

  • The development at Hiller Way, Abbotts Barton will provide 13 new affordable homes, all for affordable rent.

The scheme comprises of: 

  • 3 x 3 bedroom house
  • 3 x 2 bedroom house
  • 3 x 2 bedroom duplex houses
  • 4 x 1 bedroom apartments

Bold Forester, Soberton

  • Registered Provider - Hyde
  • 2 x 2 Bedroom House & 2 x 3 Bedroom House for Affordable Rent 
  • 4 x 2 Bedroom House for Shared Ownership 
  • Expected completion, December 2016

Schemes being developed by Sovereign

  • Torbay Farm, 8 dwellings, expected completion: June 2017
  • Green Lane Farm, 5 dwellings, expected completion: January 2017
  • Clewers Lane, 12 dwellings, expected completion: September 2016
  • Shavards Lane, Meonstoke - 6 dwellings expected completion July 2017
