If you are having difficulty making ends meet or need advice about benefits or finding work, please get in touch and we will do our best to help by:

  • Reviewing your income and outgoings and agreeing a payment plan to clear your arrears gradually.
  • Looking at ways to maximise your income and making sure you are getting all the benefits which you are entitled to.
  • Looking at ways to reduce your outgoings, helping to negotiate with your creditors.
  • Referring you for specialist support either from our own Tenancy Support Officers, the Citizens Advice Bureau or other voluntary agency.
  • Give advice on finding work, banking services such as loans and eligibility for debt relief orders.

Choices of ways to pay your rent:

  • You can pay by direct debit or standing order if you have a bank account - please download the appropriate form below:
  • You can pay your rent through My Council House
  • If you might find it easier to pay at the Post Office or a shop that has the Pay Point service then you can request a Rent Payment. Please telephone us to arrange one to be sent.
  • Call our automated payment service number (available 24 hours a day, seven days a week)on 01962 848 512. Just call and follow the prompts. You'll need your tenancy reference number, and debit card to hand.
  • You can visit our cash office open Monday to Friday from 08:45am through to 16:00 at the City Offices, Colebrook Street, Winchester, SO23 9LJ
  • Visit our payments page on the website, you will  need your tenancy reference number and debit card details.

We understand that money problems sometimes occur, which means rent is not paid. If you think you may have difficulties paying your rent it is important that you contact the Income Services Team immediately and inform them of the situation. Arrears often become a major problem because people do not seek this help at an early stage. Ignoring the situation can only make matters worse. Click here for more information
