Opening hours
The Westgate is open from February half term to Halloween night each year, closing for the winter months of November, December and January.
April -October: Saturday 10am -5pm, Sunday 12pm -5pm
February -March: Saturday 10am -4pm, Sunday 12pm -4pm

Plenty of activities for children. Have a go at our spotter quiz. Try on a suit of armour. Make an authentic brass rubbing for a small fee.
Access
We regret this Grade-1 listed building is not wheelchair accessible due to its age, and there is a considerably steep staircase from the street entrance.
Guide dogs are permitted and there is a hearing loop.
For those with visual impairments there is a 'touch and hear' information point.
