Song of Songs: Music from the Golden Age of Spain
Sat 28/07/12 7:30 PM - 9:30 PM
Acclaimed early music group performs beautiful sacred music from Renaissance Spain, in glorious architectural setting.
The poetic and sensual Biblical texts known as the Song of Songs, or Song of Solomon, inspired some of the most glorious sacred music of Renaissance Europe, most notably during the Spanish Golden Age. The beautiful architecture and acoustic of St Cross Church make a wonderful setting for this concert by the Cambridge Taverner Choir, one of Britain's foremost early music chamber choirs.
