Faster, Higher - Film installation at Winchester Discovery Centre

Susan Pui San Lok’s ‘Faster, Higher’ is The Gallery’s first contemporary visual art film installation.

This multi-screen exploration of aspiration and endeavour uses a montage of archive Olympic material and rare Chinese documentary news footage. The piece contrasts the herculean effort and commitment of individual athletes with the seamless spectacle of the games themselves and the parade of nations unified in their goals of sporting excellence and world peace.
