 James Runcie, author of The Grantchester Mysteries reveals the story behind Grantchester and his work in the arts & media.

Please join CPRE Hampshire for an evening with James Runcie as he dives into his journey writing The Grantchester Mysteries and his bright career in media and the arts.
James Runcie is the author of the international best-selling series The Grantchester Mysteries, which has been serialised on television as Grantchester with James Norton and Robson Green and watched by over ten million viewers worldwide.
James is also the Commissioning Editor of Arts for BBC Radio 4, and has made documentary films for the BBC, ITV and Channel 4 with J.K. Rowling, Hilary Mantel, J.G. Ballard, Simon Schama, David Starkey, Griff Rhys Jones and Andrew Lloyd-Webber.
He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature, and Visiting Professor at Bath Spa University.
At the Edinburgh International Book Festival in August this year, the celebrated American novelist Richard Ford said from the main stage: "Anyone who has the chance to talk to James will have a great day".
