Winchester Writers' Festival

Workshops, talks and one-to-one appointments with literary agents for emerging and experienced writers.  Poet, playwright and broadcaster Lemn Sissay will give the keynote address and leads a team of over seventy bestselling authors, commissioning editors and literary agents offering eighteen day-long workshops, 28 talks and hundreds of one-to-one appointments to help writers develop their creative ideas, turn them into marketable work and pitch to publishing professionals.

The Festival is suitable for emerging writers working in all forms and genres, including literary fiction, crime, romance, fantasy, poetry, script, narrative non-fiction and writing for children/YA. Book your place to benefit from support, advice, inspiration and networking opportunities for writing projects at all stages of development, from first idea to publication.

Anyone may enter the Festival's ten writing competitions - even if you can't attend.  Deadline for entries: 15 May.  Ten free places available to writers aged 18-25 - deadline 7 April.  Visit the website for details of how to apply.
