Talk: Adele Parks - Chick Lit Counterpoint
Tue 14/03/17 7:30 PM - 9:45 PM
The novelist and story writer Adele Parks is the speaker at the March meeting of the Hampshire Writers’ Society. Adele is a bestselling novelist who published her first novel 'Playing Away' in 2000, and is currently promoting her latest work, 'The Stranger in My Home', which was published in paperback last month. She is a post-chick lit author, who counterpoints chick lit forms criticized for being ‘all chick and no lit’. This evening she will trace her trajectory as a writer in early childhood, through formal literary studies, into being an author whose work is now translated in over twenty-six languages. All are welcome to attend.
