Supper Theatre, A Child's Christmas in Wales

Thu 01/12/16 - Sat 03/12/16 7:30 pm

Dylan Thomas's A Child's Christmas in Wales presented by West MeonTheatre, with supper included.

The story is a misty-eyed memory of Christmas from the knee-high view of a young boy. This nostalgic and romanticised vision of Christmas past is widely regarded as Thomas’ most popular works.

In this new adaptation,by Matt Beames, an ensemble cast of eight explores a place of memories and ghosts remembering the way Christmas used to be. This adaptation of A Child’s Christmas in Wales includes a number of original songs with lyrics written by Matt and scored by long-standing WMT composer Peter Theobald.

To make the event even more special - and to mark the beginning of this season’s festive activities -the production is also part of an inclusive supper theatre. The menu is being put together by Wild Garlic Catering, a local catering company rapidly gaining a reputation for delicious fresh food using Hampshire sourced ingredients.

Doors open at 7.30pm, supper at 8pm followed by the performance.
