“UK Artist of the Year” - Americana Awards
"This is one of my favourite discoveries" - Steve Lamacq

Rated by BBC Radio as “one of the finest bands in Britain today,” singing brothers, Robin and Joe Bennett – joined live by Tom Collison (keyboards) and F Scott Kenny (drums) – have built quite a reputation and following in recent times. Current release “Searching for the Supertruth” emphasises how the duo effortlessly straddle a line between the influence of roots music, classic 60s pop and their youthful love of indie rock from both sides of the Atlantic. Their fondness for the distinctive harmonies in the vein of The Everly Brothers and The Byrds is never far away. Last year The Dreaming Spires made their stateside debut in September at AmericanaFest in Nashville, which helped them to secure a deal with US label Last Chance Records, and their national TV debut on the Andrew Marr Show. 2016 has already seen them on the nominees list for the inaugural UK Americana Awards, for “UK Album of the Year” and “UK Artist of the Year”, with Joe nominated for the “Instrumentalist of the Year” award.

On June 10th the Spires release a brand new 12” EP, “Paisley Overground”, with 4 brand new tracks, mostly recorded at the legendary Ardent Studios in Memphis. The EP features a special “paisley playlist” on the flipside, with tracks by Co-pilgrim, The Hanging Stars, Sid Griffin with Tony Poole, and The Raving Beauties.
