Tackling the Housing Crisis
Wed 12/10/16 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
A panel debate hosted at the University of Winchester examining the UK's housing crisis.
The University of Winchester values collective action for the public good. A basic need of everyone is a decent, affordable home but currently this seems to be beyond the reach of many. We have assembled a panel of experts to discuss the problem and to answer questions from the audience.
The speakers are:
• Geoff French, Chair of the Enterprise M3 Local Enterprise Partnership
• Tony Pidgley, Chairman of the Berkeley Group of Companies
• Terri Alafat, Chief Executive of the Chartered Institute of Housing
• Wayne Hemingway, Principal of Hemingway Design
The panel will be chaired by John Denham, a former Secretary of state for Communities
and Local Government and now Professor of English Identity and Politics at the University of Winchester.
Our speakers will bring different perspectives to the discussion on what will be a very interesting and stimulating evening.
