A Stitch in Time Saves - needlework exhibition
Sat 03/10/15 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM
An exhibition of some aspects of Quaker History illustrated by their connection to Needlework.
How quilts, tablecloths, and samplers helped those in need over the centuries, featuring a cast of scholars, prisoners, escaped slaves and plain Quakers and ranging from a village in Ireland to convict transport ships, and ending up with a tapestry in the Lake District.
Examples of needlework, unique books to browse, and a free Quaker Tapestry postcard for every visitor.
