Arlidge and Marrison - Partners in Crime

Tue 08/09/15 7:30 PM - 9:45 PM

The crime writers M. J. Arlidge and James Marrison are the speakers at the launch of
the Hampshire Writers’ Society 2015-16 season.
Matt and James are not in fact partners in crime, nor are they partners. Except that
they are – they have agreed to share a platform to talk about their different approaches
to crime writing. As well as writing for prime-time television drama ('Undeniable', 'Silent
Witness', among others), Matt is the author of a series of serial killer thrillers set in and
around . . . Southampton; his new novel 'Liar, Liar' is published this month. James’s
first novel 'The Drowning Ground', published last month, is set in the Cotswolds, where
life is not always as tranquil as it may seem; true crime is also one of James’s interests,
the subject, in fact, of his 2008 book 'The World’s Most Bizarre Murders'.
