Winchester Design Day 2015

Sat 14/11/15 10:00 AM - 2:30 PM

The Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) is organising Winchester Design Day to
showcase the skills of the city’s local architects.
The nights are getting longer and chillier, so it’s time to spend more time indoors.
Autumn can be a good time to plan really bold changes to your home. Could you add
an extra room? Shift your kitchen into the dining room? Move the staircase?
These kinds of major makeover are the mainstay of architects. You can drop in and talk
through your ideas, large or small with a range of over 15 local architects in the
Performance Hall, at the Discovery Centre, any time from 10am to 2.30pm on Saturday
15 November.
Admission is free and you can chat to as many architects as you like – just bring any
photos and plans that will help you to outline your project to them and be inspired.
An architect designed home can benefit one’s life in more ways than simply enjoying a
unique and bespoke space. The visual appeal and spatial impression is something that
isn’t just reflected by your own enjoyment of the finished project. The value of good
design is a factor that makes a real impact to your investment. The desirability of a
well-designed house is driving the value of architecturally designed properties. There
has never been a better time to invest in an architect and today is your chance to speak
to the experts and get the ball rolling on your project.
