Electoral Register 2015 – 2016 and Boundary Review

The Electoral Register for 2015-2016 was published on the 1 December 2015.

On 28 October 2015, the Winchester (Electoral Changes) Order 2015 was laid in draft in Parliament. The draft order would give effect to the final recommendations that were consulted on during the Local Government Boundary Commission for England’s review of electoral arrangements in Winchester and published on 30 June 2015.

The draft order was laid in Parliament for a period of 40 sitting days. Parliament accepted the recommendations. The new electoral arrangements will come into force at the next scheduled elections for Winchester on Thursday 5 May 2016.

The statutory instrument was confirmed on 11 December 2015 and the Council issued a revised full register on 1 February 2016.
