Creech woods dog day. The local PCSO, Neighbourhood Services Officer and Dog Warden were there with treats and water for the dogs and advice on dog welfare and behaviour. There was also free dog micro chipping on the day.

May 2016

Police community beat surgery at The Village Hall, Otterbourne. Saturday 14th May 10.30am.

Denmead summer health walks, these popular healthy walks are starting again. Each walk will start at 7.30pm and be held on either Tuesday or Thursday. Visit Bishop's Waltham Carnival and Show for a fun-packed family day out. With a float procession through the town, music, children's games and plenty of food stalls, there will be something for everyone. Saturday 11th June

Bishop's Waltham Street Party. The High Street will once again be filled with tables and chairs, adults and children, musicians and performers and food and drink. Using the Queens 90th birthday as a good excuse to have a party and celebrate all those in Bishop's Waltham who turn 90 this year. Tickets will cost £5 per adult, children are free. Sunday 12th June 11.30 - 6pm

St Andrews Church fête. The fête is to be opened by local celebrity David Ames, aka 'Dr Dom' from Holby City. There will be a display in the church of the work of renowned local artists Susan Chapman. Saturday 25th June

July 2016

Meadowside Music Festival. A family fun event at the playing fields adjacent to the Meadowside Leisure Centre in Whitely. This is a free event showcasing local artists and community acts. Saturday 9th July.

Boomtown Carnival Workshops. Running for the whole day at the Discovery Centre, Winchester, leading up to the Carnival Parade at Boomtown Fair on Sunday 14th August. Saturday 9th July.

An Autumn celebration at The Carroll Centre, Stanmore. Gentle and fun dance suitable for all abilities with music from the 50s, 60s and 70s. 13th November, 11 - 3pm.
