Apprenticeship Grants

Apprentice chef receives extra helpings with City Council grant

The photograph shows Winchester City Council’s Deputy Leader, Cllr Robert Humby with Harry Millar, apprentice at The Chesil Rectory in Winchester. Harry recently received an apprenticeship grant from Winchester City Council.

Winchester City Council's new Apprenticeship Grants

This is a brand new small grant scheme which supports employees by covering some of the basic costs, which might otherwise be difficult to finance. These range from a simple set of work clothes for someone who has been out of employment for a while to the cost of travel to the workplace or training venue each week.
