Citizens Panel
Winchester City Council established a representative group of approximately 1600 local residents, called the Citizens' Panel, in 2000, to participate in a series of questionnaires and interviews. It is hoped that by using the Citizens' Panel, we can find out more on how the community feels about the Council's decisions, services and priorities.
The Council distributes several different questionnaires each year to all Citizens' Panel members. The results are analysed and reported back to the Panel, Councillors, Officers and the residents of the Winchester District. The information gained from the results helps the Council take into account local people's views and opinions when making decisions, forming policies, preparing strategies and planning for the future, as well as monitoring levels of service provisions and priorities for improvement.
