The Golden Mile

                               The Godlen Mile

Winchester City Council, Energise Me & Premier Sport are working in partnership to host a Golden Mile Festival at Winchester Athletics Stadium, Milland Rd, Highcliffe, Winchester SO23 0QA on 11th July 2017!

The festival is a celebration and an official launch of the Golden Mile and gives schools the opportunity to see the Golden Mile in action and receive the training required so that you can leave ready to start.

Each school can bring up to 5 people which includes children and staff members. If you do not have a teacher that is available to implement the Golden Mile within school, parents/volunteers can be a Golden Mile co-ordinator and are welcome to attend the festival.

Places are on a “first come first served” basis and schools will not be accepted after the closing date.

If you would like to attend, please confirm to: alannah.stephenson@energiseme.org by no later than Monday 26 June 2017.

***If a parent/volunteer is willing to attend, please state this in the email.***

About The Golden Mile...

A Golden Mile lap is measured within the school grounds which can be indoor or outdoor to cater for all weather.

Pupils can simply walk, jog or run around a Golden Mile track within the safety of the school grounds and then use downloadable resources to help upload the number of laps they achieve.

Online School and class pages will convert laps into Miles and display the pupil’s progress via graphs and league tables.
