Active Lifestyles Scheme
Type 2 Diabetes, High Blood Pressure/Cholesterol, Heart Disease, Obesity.....we all know people who suffer or have suffered with these conditions. If you had the opportunity to spend just 30mins a day doing something to reduce the risk of you developing these conditions, would you do it? Being active for 30mins per day, 5 days/week does just this - it can reduce the risk of you developing these conditions or if you have a condition already, by becoming more active you can make it more manageable. If you would like to find out more about taking the first steps to a healthy and active lifestyle then our Active Lifestyles Officer could provide much needed advice and support to you.
The following pages provide information on how we are commited to developing opportunities for you to take part in sport and physical activity throughout the district and lead an active healthy lifestyle! With the guidance of our Active Lifestyles Officer the following topics and information provided will help you develop and take those first steps into a fit, healthy future:-
