2. St Nicholas' Chapel, Westbury

Originally a chapel of ease for the parish of East Meon, this building has been deserted since the Reformation. All that remains of this late 13th century chapel today are ruins.

The Walk

From the chapel follow the road west and take the first right along Vinnells Lane.

Continue along the lane until you come across a footpath on your left, opposite Garretts Farm. Follow the path over two fields and across the dismantled railway.

At a fork in the footpath take the right hand route heading north-west towards the A32. Take care crossing this busy road and rejoin the footpath on the other side.

At the next road turn left then take the first right into Headon View. From there pick up the footpath on the left leading to Church Lane, cross over to arrive at the church.
