Funding for Winchester Sports Stadium

It is estimated that the Winchester Sports Stadium will cost between £2,000,000 - £3,000,000.

In July 2006 Winchester City Council agreed to put £1,010,000 plus a section of land towards the cost of the project. The University of Winchester, in addition to providing most of the land and the existing pavilion will be providing a financial contribution and funding applications will be submitted in February 2007 to Sport England's Community Investment Fund and December 2006 to SITA Landfill Tax Credit Scheme.

Winchester & District Athletics Club are also fundraising to provide a contribution to the track element of the project.
