Winchester City Council owns two leisure centres in the district - River Park and Meadowside.
River Park, in Winchester town centre, is operated by DC Leisure and offers a complete range of fitness activities. Meadowside is in Whiteley, next to the shopping village, and also has a range of halls, meeting rooms and fitness activities.

Free swimming initiative makes a splash
A Government-backed free swimming initiative for under-17s and over-60s has been making a splash at River Park Leisure Centre. More than 5.000 people in Winchester have signed up for the scheme since it was launched last April.
