Recycling Bring Sites

The City Council provides and encourages housholds to use the network of recycling banks sited throughout the district. Many of the sites will accept glass bottles and jars, some will accept other materials such as textiles and clothing.

Did you know that last year residents in the City Council's district recycled over 1,500 tonnes of glass through the bottle banks? This not only helped reduce landfill but also resulted in significant savings in energy use associated with making new glass. The following are sites are new and not listed on the leaflet below.

Household Waste Recycling Centres

There are three sites in the Winchester district. A range of household waste can be disposed of at these facilities including furniture, fridges, freezers, cookers, electrical appliances, engine oil and green waste.

The facilities are open seven days a week from 8am - 7pm (April to September) and 8am - 4pm (October - March).
