Supported Tenancies
If you have difficulty managing your tenancy and you are a Winchester City Council tenant, then our Supported Tenancy Service may be able to help you.
The aim of the Supported Tenancy Service is to help vulnerable tenants maintain their independence and improve their quality of life.
Click on the leaflet below to view the Supported Tenancy Service information leaflet. A hard copy of this leaflet is also available from the Reception area in City Offices.
What is a Supported Tenancy?
If you agree to Tenancy Support, the Supported Housing team will become responsible for the management of your tenancy.
They will provide support workers in partnership with voluntary sector agencies like:
- Together (formerly Mental After Care Association, MACA)
The service will become the first point of contact in order to resolve any issues with your tenancy.
Our partner agencies have been chosen for their specialist knowledge and their support can be provided for a short period or long term, depending on your needs.
Who will the service help?
The Supported Tenancy Service will help:
- People with mental health problems
- Families under pressure
