Special Advisory Panel on the Alternate Bin Collection Scheme

The First meeting of the panel starts today at 2,30pm. Following the launch of ABC in the first phase of the district, recycling rates in that area have increased from 18% to 40% which is a fantastic achievement. What can I put in my recycling bin !

Winchester City Council provide a fortnightly collection of recyclables from all domestic properties in the district. Recycling bins are provided free of charge. If you do not already have a recycling bin and would like one, please contact using the details above

Why we don't collect cartons at the moment ?

We know that many residents would like to recycle drinks cartons and wonder why we don't want them in the recycling bin. This note explains the background to our position.
