Development Provision and Allocations
In addition to the Core Strategy which is the overarching document of the Local Development Framework, the Council is also working on a second planning policy document. This is the Development Provision and Allocations DPD.
The Site Allocations Development Plan Document (DPD) will allocate all site specific designations to meet the needs of retail, housing, employment, community, leisure and transport.
In order to identify suitable sites that may be available to deliver the development strategy being explored through the Local Development Framework and the Core Strategy, the Council would like to hear from landowners, developers, public authorities, or individuals from the wider community, if they know of any sites which could be used.
It is important that we know about these sites at an early stage so we can assess them against sustainability criteria and consult on them. Please note that for these reasons, it will not be possible to consider confidential responses.
Only development which conforms to the strategic distribution strategy of the Core Strategy can be promoted in the Site Allocations DPD .
If you have a site to suggest, please complete the site submission form below together with a map showing the location of the site.
The form can be printed and sent to us at Strategic Planning, Winchester City Council, Colebrook Street, winchester, SO23 9LJ. Alternatively, it can be sent to us by email to ldf@winchester.gov.uk. There are two versions of the form below to enable you to do either. Please ensure you include a location map of the site.
The consultation period has been extended and all proposed sites must be submitted by 5pm on 31 March 2008.
